Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has made explosive accusations, claiming that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is behind a plot to assassinate him. These serious allegations surfaced during Marwat’s conversation with journalists outside Parliament House, where he asserted that Maryam Nawaz, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), had allegedly hired ‘contract killers’ with the intention of targeting him.
Marwat went on to reveal that this supposed contract to assassinate him wasn’t just a verbal threat but involved tangible financial transactions. He contended that CM Maryam had authorized a payment for this sinister plan, and the transaction had reportedly taken place in Dubai. To support his claims, the PTI leader mentioned intercepted telephone conversations, which he planned to share with relevant investigative authorities.

In response to these startling revelations, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned former PTI lawmaker Shandana Gulzar, who has also leveled allegations against Maryam Nawaz. The FIA initiated an inquiry into the serious accusations following a complaint filed by the PML-N against Gulzar. As the situation escalates, Punjab’s Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has demanded that Gulzar provide concrete evidence to substantiate her allegations. Bukhari emphasized that the government would not allow Gulzar to evade accountability in this matter.
