Pir Pagara Predicts Incoming Coalition Government Won't Last More Than 10 Months

Grand Democratic Alliances (GDA) leader Pir Pagara has predicted that the new government may not last longer than eight or ten months, and there could be a possibility of martial law or an emergency thereafter. On Friday, the GDA staged a sit-in in Jamshoro, protesting against alleged rigging in the general elections held on Feb 8.

Addressing the protesters, Pir Pagara remarked, “If Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder is a thief, then everyone is a thief.”
He expressed concerns about extensive buying and selling during the elections and questioned the role of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Feb 8. Pagara emphasized that if justice is not delivered to the people, they will take matters into their own hands, while affirming the close connection with the Pak Army.

GDA leader Liaquat Jatoi accused Zardari of being given Sindh for the fourth time due to rigged elections, asserting that they have fought against the oppressive system for 15 years. GDA leader Saira Bano called for the resignation of the chief election commissioner following the alleged election rigging, and she emphasized that their leadership had spread the message of love.

GDA leader Arbab Ghulam Rahim mentioned that people joined the sit-in voluntarily, expressing their love for Pir Sahib. He stated that they had come from Thar at their own expense, demanding free and fair elections to form a new government.
