PM Kakar Departs for U.S. to Attend 78th UNGA Session

Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has embarked on a five-day visit to the United States, which includes attending the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. During his visit, the interim PM will present Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and international issues. In addition to addressing the UNGA, he will participate in a conference on climate change, engage with international media representatives, and visit think tanks in the United States.

Accompanying Interim Prime Minister Kakar is Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani. The visit is an opportunity for Pakistan to outline its stance on various regional and global matters, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The caretaker government will also highlight its efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s economic recovery and promote domestic and international investments.

Furthermore, the interim PM will participate in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) summit and hold meetings with foreign leaders, heads of international organizations, and corporate leaders during his visit to the United States.
