Shadab Khan’s another Milestone in PSL 9

Shadab Khan's another Milestone in PSL 9

Shadab Khan, the skipper of Islamabad United, reached a significant milestone during the PSL 9 playoffs, becoming the first Pakistani player to achieve 300 runs and 10 wickets as an all-rounder in a single PSL season. This remarkable accomplishment places him alongside notable all-rounders like Ravi Bopara and Shane Watson, who achieved similar feats in previous PSL seasons.

Shadab’s consistent performance with both bat and ball has been instrumental in Islamabad United’s campaign this season. Having scored three half-centuries with an impressive strike rate, he has showcased scintillating batting form and provided stability to the team’s middle order. Partnering effectively with Salman Ali Agha, Shadab has played a pivotal role in Islamabad United’s success.

In the recent match against Quetta Gladiators, Shadab’s contribution of 23 runs off 13 balls helped him surpass the 300-run mark for the season. His role as a stable middle-order batsman this season reflects the clear strategy set by Islamabad United’s management, which he has executed with perfection.

With the playoffs reaching a crucial stage, Shadab’s leadership and all-round capabilities will be vital for Islamabad United as they face Peshawar Zalmi in the Eliminator 2. The winner of this match will secure a spot in the final, scheduled for March 18, adding further significance to Shadab’s role in guiding his team to championship contention.
