The utility stores company (USC) lowered the cost of several brands of Banaspati ghee by Rs68 per kilogramme, from Rs585 to Rs517 per kg, according to a notice.
The cost of one litre of cooking oil at utility outlets dropped from Rs610 to Rs517 in a similar trend. This lowering results in a substantial decrease of Rs93 per litre.
