Kartik Aaryan and Sajid Nadiadwala to Recreate Viral Hit ‘Pasoori’ for Upcoming Film Satyaprem Ki Katha

In a surprising twist, popular Indian actor Kartik Aaryan and acclaimed producer Sajid Nadiadwala have announced their plans to recreate the sensational song ‘Pasoori’ for their upcoming romantic film, Satyaprem Ki Katha. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the movie stars Aaryan alongside the talented Kiara Advani and is set to release on June 28.

The decision to recreate ‘Pasoori’ aims to capture the magic and popularity of the original song while infusing it with a fresh creative interpretation. Sources from Bollywood Hungama reveal that the team has meticulously planned the shoot, which is scheduled to take place over two days in Mumbai.

With their sights set on creating a “masterpiece,” Aaryan and Nadiadwala hope to recreate the same enchantment and buzz that the song generated in the digital world. Confirmation regarding this exciting venture is still awaited from Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, as reported by The Express Tribune.

The music of Satyaprem Ki Katha has already emerged as a major highlight of the film. Three songs have been released consecutively, receiving a positive response from the audience. Adding to the excitement, two more songs are set to be unveiled within the next nine days, promising a delightful musical extravaganza that complements the film’s romantic narrative.

‘Pasoori’ originated as a single from Coke Studio Pakistan and gained immense popularity when it was featured in Season 14, Episode 6 of the musical show. The song was performed by Ali Sethi, a renowned Pakistani singer, and marked the debut of talented vocalist Shae Gill. Since its release on February 6, 2022, the song has gone viral, captivating audiences worldwide with its unique lyrics and catchy melody.

The success of ‘Pasoori’ propelled it to Spotify’s prestigious Viral 50 – Global chart, making it the first Pakistani song to achieve this feat. It also gained further recognition through its inclusion in episode four of the Disney+ miniseries Ms. Marvel and its presence on the soundtrack of the off-Broadway production Monsoon Wedding The Musical, directed by renowned filmmaker Mira Nair.

Notably, ‘Pasoori’ became the most-streamed Pakistani song globally and locally in 2022, as confirmed by Spotify. Additionally, according to Google Trends’ Year in Search 2022, it was the most-searched song worldwide. The question now remains whether this remake will meet the benchmark set by the original.
