Tennis star Sania Mirza’s father, Imran Mirza, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Sania and Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik have been divorced for a few months. Imran Mirza requested fans and well-wishers to refrain from speculation and respect Sania’s privacy during this sensitive time in her life.
The announcement came a day after Shoaib Malik revealed his marriage to Pakistani actor Sana Javed through an Instagram post. The surprise around the new wedding led to speculations about Shoaib’s marital status with Sania.

Sources indicated that the 37-year-old tennis player had obtained a divorce from the cricketer following their separation in late 2022.
