Sindh Revenue Board Achieves Record Collection

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has demonstrated remarkable performance by collecting Rs185.2 billion during the first nine months of the fiscal year 2023-24, marking a significant increase of 29% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Chairman SRB Wasif Memon shared this achievement during a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, where he briefed the CM on the impressive revenue collections. In the statement issued, it was highlighted that the SRB’s record revenue collection of Rs185.2 billion during the first nine months of the fiscal year 2023-24 surpassed the tax collection of Rs143.3 billion during the same period in the previous fiscal year 2022-23, indicating a notable year-on-year growth of 29%.

Despite facing challenges such as the broader economic slowdown, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah commended the SRB for its resilience and efficiency in revenue collection. The statement further revealed that the monthly tax collection by SRB during April 2024 amounted to Rs18.8 billion, reflecting a 23% growth compared to the tax collection of Rs15.2 billion in April 2023. This robust performance indicates the SRB’s continued commitment to enhancing revenue generation and contributing to the economic stability and development of Sindh.
