Alexis Sánchez has completed a move to Sevilla after ending his contract with Udinese. The 36-year-old Chilean forward signed a one-year deal with the Spanish club on September 1, 2025.
Sánchez began his European journey with Udinese in 2006, becoming a fan favorite before moving to Barcelona in 2011. Over his career, he has played for top clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Marseille.
He returned to Udinese in 2024 on a two-year deal but faced several injury setbacks. Despite this, he recovered and featured again in Serie A before deciding to move on. The contract was terminated by mutual consent, allowing him to join Sevilla as a free agent.
At Sevilla, Sánchez will bring experience and attacking quality to a squad in transition. The club turned to him after departures in the forward line, aiming to add depth and leadership. Supporters in Spain will be eager to see if he can replicate his past success in La Liga.
Sánchez also continues to play for Chile’s national team. In March 2025, he was recalled for World Cup qualifiers, highlighting his enduring importance at international level.
This transfer marks another chapter in the career of Chile’s all-time top scorer. For Sevilla, it is a calculated move to add proven talent, while for Sánchez, it is a chance to extend his playing days in a league he knows well.
