Asian Champions Trophy: Malaysia and Pakistan draw 2-2

In the Asian Champions Trophy on Sunday, the hockey match between Pakistan and Malaysia ended in a 2-2 draw.

Pakistan couldn’t maintain their 2-0 lead at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, China. Nadeem Ahmed and Sufyan Khan scored for Pakistan.

The first quarter saw no goals. Sufyan put Pakistan ahead, followed by Nadeem’s goal extending the lead in the third quarter. Malaysia cut the deficit with a penalty corner and Aiman Rozemi scored to equalize just before the end.

Pakistan will be disappointed with the result after leading 2-0. Ammad Butt of Pakistan received the Player of the Match award, a memento, and a $200 cheque.
