The BCCI has firmly denied media reports suggesting India will pull out of the 2025 Asia Cup, set to be held in Pakistan this September.
Reports earlier claimed India was considering skipping the Asia Cup and the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka due to political tensions with Pakistan and its leadership of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia clarified, “BCCI has not discussed or taken any such steps. Any news of withdrawal is purely speculative and imaginary.”
He added the board’s current focus remains on the ongoing IPL and upcoming series against England, stating no formal communication has been sent to the ACC.
India last played Pakistan in bilateral cricket in 2013, with recent meetings limited to ICC and ACC tournaments.
