India's Shocking Collapse: All Out for 46 Against New Zealand in Bengaluru

In a stunning and historic collapse, India was dismissed for just 46 runs on Day 2 of the first Test against New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, setting a new record for their lowest score in Test cricket at home, surpassing their previous low of 75 against the West Indies in Delhi in 1987.

India’s top order collapsed dramatically, with five key players, including Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, falling for ducks.

Captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 2, while Rishabh Pant’s 20 and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 13 were the only double-digit contributions in an otherwise disastrous innings for the home side.

New Zealand’s bowlers, led by Matt Henry’s 5 wickets and William O’Rourke’s 4, dismantled India’s line-up with clinical precision, while Tim Southee added one wicket.

India were bowled out in just 31.2 overs, handing New Zealand control of the match, as they trailed by only 42 runs. The collapse has raised serious concerns about India’s batting, particularly at home.
