Inzamam-ul-Haq, Director of Peshawar Zalmi, explained the reason behind the change in Babar Azam’s batting order during the ongoing 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
During a post-match press conference, Haq praised Babar Azam as a world-class player and shared that Babar himself chose to bat at number three instead of opening for Zalmi.

Babar believed that having Mitchell Owen open the innings would allow him to focus on power-hitting and score quickly in the early overs.
Haq emphasized that improving Babar Azam’s strike rate would benefit not only Peshawar Zalmi but also the Pakistan national team.
Regarding Maaz Sadaqat, Haq commended his impressive innings, highlighting that Maaz was given a chance at the right moment and made the most of it.
