Former England captain Michael Vaughan has harshly criticized Pakistan’s cricket team, describing them as the worst Pakistan side he has witnessed in their history. His remarks came after Pakistan’s heavy defeat against England by an innings and 47 runs in the first Test match held in Multan. Led by Shan Masood, the Pakistani team struggled despite putting up a strong first-innings total of 556 runs.
Pakistan’s record-breaking loss marked a disappointing chapter in their cricket history. Despite their solid first innings, they became the first team ever to lose a Test match by an innings after scoring over 550 runs in the initial innings. England’s response was dominant, with a declaration at 823/7, achieving a remarkable run rate of over five runs per over, completely outplaying the hosts.
