Pakistan Team Heads to Hong Kong Sixes Tournament

The Pakistan cricket team has departed for Hong Kong via Bangkok to compete in the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament. Led by captain Faheem Ashraf, the squad includes players Asif Ali, Aamir Yamin, Danish Aziz, Hussain Talat, Shahab Khan, and Mohammad Ikhlaq.

The tournament will take place from November 1 to November 3, featuring 12 teams divided into four groups. Pakistan is in Pool C alongside India and the UAE. They will kick off their campaign against the UAE on November 1, followed by a match against India on the same day.

The top two teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals, set for November 2, while the semifinals and final will occur on November 3.

In parallel, members of the Pakistan ODI squad have arrived in Melbourne for their upcoming series against Australia, with the remaining players scheduled to depart today. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with newly appointed white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha, extending his best wishes and highlighting the honor of leading the national team.

The PCB has announced squads for the tours to Australia and Zimbabwe, with key players returning and emerging domestic stars included. The white-ball teams will face Australia from November 4 to 18, followed by matches in Zimbabwe from November 24 to December 5. These tours are considered crucial preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy, with selectors balancing experienced players and new talent in their strategy.
