Sajid Khan has made a remarkable mark on the international cricket stage, earning two Player-of-the-Match awards in just nine Test matches. This achievement stands out significantly when compared to established stars like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, who, in their combined 86 Test matches, have received only one Player-of-the-Match award each.
In the recent Multan Test, Sajid Khan’s outstanding performance, highlighted by a nine-wicket haul—including two crucial wickets in the second innings—demonstrated his ability to thrive under pressure. His contributions were pivotal in Pakistan’s 152-run victory over England, marking a historic home win after almost three years.

Today, Pakistan broke a home Test losing streak of three years and eight months, dismissing England for 144 runs in the second Test of the three-match series. This victory not only leveled the series but also marked Pakistan’s first Test win under Shan Masood’s captaincy and their first at home since February 2021.
Sajid Khan, along with fellow spinner Noman Ali, took all 20 wickets in the match, showcasing the effectiveness of spin bowling in the conditions. Despite resting key players Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah after a disappointing performance in the first Test, Pakistan managed to turn the tide against England.
In England’s second innings, the duo of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali dismantled the top and middle order, leaving the visitors struggling at 125 runs for seven wickets while chasing a target of 297.
Before this latest victory, Pakistan had played 24 Tests overall, winning only eight—two against Zimbabwe, two against Bangladesh, three against Sri Lanka, and one against the West Indies. They suffered 12 defeats, including four against Australia, and their remaining four Tests ended in draws against Australia and New Zealand.
