South African Women’s Cricket Team Arrive in Lahore for T20 Series

The South African Women’s cricket team, led by captain Laura Wolvaardt, arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday morning for a three-match IT20 series against Pakistan.

The series, scheduled to take place at Multan Cricket Stadium from September 16 to 20, 2024, is part of their preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the UAE from October 3 to 20, 2024. The matches aim to help the South African team acclimate to the conditions they will face in the World Cup.

The team will have training sessions on September 14 and 15, 2024, and before the session on the 15th, captains Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa) and Fatima Sana (Pakistan) will hold a pre-series media conference and unveil the series trophy. The South African team will then travel to Multan by chartered flight.
