Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli landed in Mumbai last night after returning from London, gearing up for the much-anticipated Test series against New Zealand. The 35-year-old cricketer was seen at the Mumbai airport, where he took a moment to interact with photographers and pose for pictures.
In a light-hearted exchange, the photographers playfully encouraged Kohli, saying, “BGT mein aag lagani hai,” which translates to “You have to light up the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.” The atmosphere was lively as the excitement builds ahead of the series.

The three-match Test series will kick off on Wednesday, October 16, in Bengaluru, with subsequent matches scheduled in Pune on October 24 and the final Test in Mumbai starting November 1. The Indian squad is expected to be announced soon, with all players required to arrive in Bengaluru by October 12.
Kohli is just 53 runs shy of reaching 9,000 Test runs, which would make him the fourth Indian batter to achieve this milestone, joining cricketing legends Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar. Despite a mixed performance in the recent series against Bangladesh, Kohli demonstrated resilience, scoring crucial runs that helped India secure the series win.
His record against New Zealand is impressive, with 866 runs in 11 Tests at an average of 45.57, including three centuries and three half-centuries. As the series approaches, all eyes will be on Kohli as he aims to shine on the field.
