Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal made history by hitting 12 runs off the first ball in a T20I match against Zimbabwe on Sunday. In the fifth T20I, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza bowled the opening delivery, which was a full toss that Jaiswal launched over deep square-leg for a six. Simultaneously, the umpire called it a no-ball.
With the free hit awarded, Raza delivered a length ball, and Jaiswal struck again, hitting a second consecutive six, thus creating a remarkable record.
