In a major move to boost athletics, the federal government has allocated Rs17.8 trillion for the uplift of sports in the upcoming fiscal year.

According to the budget details revealed Tuesday, Rs30 million has been set aside for building 250 mini sports complexes across the country. Additionally, Rs150 million has been allocated to promote national games.
To support athlete development, Rs120 million will go toward establishing a biomechanics lab, while Rs100 million has been allocated for hiring foreign coaches.
