Jake Paul secured a unanimous decision victory over 58-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson in an eight-round exhibition bout on Friday night at AT&T Stadium. Despite the pre-fight hype, fans expressed disappointment with the lack of action in Tyson’s first sanctioned fight in nearly two decades.
The judges scored the fight decisively in Paul’s favor, with scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice. Paul praised Tyson in the ring, calling him “the greatest to ever do it,” though his words did little to appease the restless crowd, many of whom left before the decision was announced.

Tyson showed brief aggression in the opening seconds but remained largely defensive for the rest of the fight. Paul, now 11-1, admitted his nervousness facing the former heavyweight champion, saying, “I was scared he was going to hurt me.”
The event set a Texas record for combat sports with a gate of $18 million and drew over 120 million viewers on Netflix, marking the platform’s first foray into live combat sports.
