The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the match officials for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier, set to take place in Pakistan from April 9 to 19. The tournament will feature six teams competing for two spots in the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
A total of 10 umpires and three match referees have been appointed for the event. Pakistan’s Faisal Khan Afridi and Saleema Imtiaz will be part of the umpiring panel, with Saleema making history as the first Pakistani woman to join an ICC umpiring panel. She expressed hope that her achievements would encourage more women in Pakistan to pursue careers in cricket and officiating.

The officiating team also includes representatives from various nations, including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the West Indies. Ali Naqvi (Pakistan), Shandre Fritz (South Africa), and Trudy Anderson (New Zealand) will serve as match referees.
ICC’s Senior Manager for Umpires and Referees, Sean Easey, emphasized the importance of the tournament, stating that it provides an excellent opportunity for officials to showcase their skills on a major international platform.
