Arslan Ash Wins 8th Evo Title, Earns Nearly Rs. 8 Million in Prize Money

Pakistan’s Arslan Ash claimed another major international esports title after winning the Tekken 8 tournament at Evo 2026 in Las Vegas. The victory marked the eighth Evo championship of his career and further strengthened his reputation as one of the world’s top fighting game players.

Arslan Ash defeated South Korea’s Rangchu in the grand final to secure first place in one of the largest Tekken competitions of the year. The tournament featured 1,355 players from around the world, making the achievement even more significant.

Representing Twisted Minds, Arslan relied on his experience and tactical gameplay throughout the event. He used Nina and Kunimitsu during the tournament and displayed a disciplined defensive style in the championship match.

In the grand final, Arslan carefully handled Rangchu’s aggressive attacks. He successfully adapted to his opponent’s pressure and made effective use of positioning near the walls. His ability to anticipate attacking patterns helped him control the match and close out the final to lift the trophy.

The victory earned Arslan Ash a prize of $28,000, which is approximately Rs. 7.8 million. He also received 800 Tekken World Tour points, equal to 40 percent of the tournament prize pool allocation, and secured direct qualification for the Tekken World Tour Finals 2026.

Pakistan also celebrated another impressive result at Evo 2026. Qasim Meer finished in sixth place, giving the country two players among the tournament’s top six competitors.

Representing The Vicious, Qasim Meer earned $4,200, which is approximately Rs. 1.1 million. He also collected 220 Tekken World Tour points for his performance.

His sixth-place finish was enough to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026. The result highlighted Pakistan’s continued strength in the global Tekken competitive scene.

South Korea’s Rangchu finished as the tournament runner-up and received $14,000 along with 560 Tekken World Tour points. LowHigh claimed third place, while JeonDDing and Meo-IL completed the top five.

Arslan Ash’s latest triumph adds another milestone to his remarkable esports career. His consistent performances at international tournaments have made him one of Pakistan’s most successful professional gamers.
