Clubs across Europe have now confirmed their official Champions League squad lists for the 2025β26 group stage.
Arsenal named a 23-man βList Aβ squad. A surprise inclusion was 15-year-old Max Dowman, who joins despite being too young for List B. Striker Gabriel Jesus was left out due to his recovery from an ACL injury. All summer signings made the cut, while young talents like Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are expected to feature through List B.
Barcelona also finalized their squad. New arrivals Joan GarcΓa, Marcus Rashford, and Roony Bardghji were added to the Champions League list. Key senior players such as Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Robert Lewandowski remain central to the team. Several academy players were named on List B to provide extra depth.
Liverpool submitted a 22-man Champions League squad. One of the biggest surprises was the omission of Federico Chiesa. The squad includes experienced names like Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah, alongside rising talents. List B options such as Trey Nyoni and Stefan Bajcetic give the club flexibility for matchday squads.
Chelsea also faced tough decisions in their squad submission. Facundo Buonanotte was left out despite joining recently and showing enthusiasm to play. Homegrown rules and squad limits forced adjustments. Injured players such as Liam Delap and Levi Colwill were still included, as they are expected to return later in the season.
Why Squad Lists Matter
UEFA rules require clubs to submit two lists before the Champions League begins. List A can include up to 25 players, with at least eight locally trained. List B is reserved for youth players and can be updated before each matchday.
These squad lists will play a key role in shaping the teams as they begin their Champions League campaigns. Fans now have a clearer picture of which players will feature in Europeβs biggest competition this season.
