Ihsanullah, Pakistan’s pace sensation, has declared his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) following his exclusion from the HBL PSL 10 draft. In an emotional interview, the 22-year-old pacer expressed his frustration over being ignored by all franchises despite his past performances.
“I’ve been overlooked despite my past performances,” Ihsanullah said, adding that not a single franchise contacted him. “If you perform, these franchises should come after you, but no one reached out to me.” He further vowed to prove his critics wrong, promising to bowl at a pace of 150-160 km/h in the coming months.

The pacer’s frustration deepened after comments by Multan Sultans’ owner, Ali Tareen, who questioned his ability to return to his peak form following elbow surgery. Ihsanullah, however, remains resolute, declaring that he would no longer participate in franchise cricket. “I’ve decided to retire from the PSL. It’s over for me after today,” he said.
Despite this setback, Ihsanullah remains focused on his goal of representing Pakistan through domestic cricket. He continues to aim for an international career, having already made a mark with six wickets in T20Is and an impressive performance in PSL 8.
