India Wins Thrilling Asia Cup Final Against Pakistan

India

India won the Asia cup 2025 final against Pakistan in a tense and exciting match. The game was played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. India chased a target of 147 runs and won by five wickets. This victory marks India’s ninth Asia cup title overall and their second in the T20 format.

Pakistan started strongly and reached 113/1. But they lost momentum and collapsed to 146 all out in 19.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was Pakistan’s key bowler, taking four wickets for 30 runs. Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel also contributed with important wickets.

India’s chase started poorly, with early wickets falling. At 20/3, the match looked challenging. Tilak Varma anchored the innings with 69 not out from 53 balls. He shared a crucial 60-run partnership with Shivam Dube, who scored 33 off 22 balls. Rinku Singh hit the winning runs with just two balls left in the match.

The post-match ceremony saw controversy. Indian players refused to accept the trophy from the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman. This action reflected ongoing political tensions between the two nations. The players accepted only individual awards, skipping the trophy presentation.

Despite the tension, celebrations erupted across India. Fans cheered in the streets and distributed sweets. The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced Rs 21 crore in rewards for the players and support staff.

The Asia cup 2025 final showed both teams’ cricket skills and passion. India’s victory will be remembered for both the thrilling cricket and the tense post-match events.
