Pakistan has announced its Under-19 squad for the Asia Cup 2025, set to be held in Dubai later this month. The eight-team, 50-over tournament will feature Group A and Group B matches, with Pakistan placed in Group A alongside arch-rivals India, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3. Group B will see Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Qualifier 2 compete.

The Asia Cup 2025 serves as a crucial build-up to the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia early next year. Pakistan will open their campaign on December 12 against Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium. The highly anticipated clash against India is scheduled for December 14 at the ICC Academy Ground, followed by a group match against Qualifier 1 on December 16 at the same venue. Semi-finals will be played on December 19, with the final set for December 21.

Farhan Yousaf, an 18-year-old who impressed in last yearโ€™s edition, has been named captain. Farhan led Lahore Region Whites in the National Menโ€™s Under-19 Cup, scoring 369 runs in seven matches, including a century and two half-centuries. Usman Khan, appointed vice-captain, had a prolific season scoring 429 runs for FATA, highlighted by two centuries and a fifty.

The squad will assemble in Karachi for a preparatory camp before traveling to Dubai. Pakistan aims to improve on their previous Asia Cup performance, where they were knocked out at the semi-final stage by Bangladesh. Under Farhanโ€™s leadership, the team hopes for a stronger run.
