Pakistani Awais Munir Clinches Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship 2024 in Riyadh

Awais Munir, a Pakistani cueist, emerged victorious at the 2024 Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday. He defeated a player from Hong Kong with a score of 6-3. After the match was tied 2-2, Munir went on to win three consecutive frames comfortably.

In the eighth frame, the Hong Kong cueist staged a comeback as Munir struggled to pot a ball. However, Munir regained control in the ninth frame, displaying impressive skill and accuracy to secure the championship title.

In the semi-final match a day earlier, Munir defeated fellow Pakistani Asjad Iqbal with a score of 5-2. He turned the match around by winning five consecutive frames after initially trailing 0-2.

Earlier in the tournament, another Pakistani cueist, Hasnain Akhtar, clinched victory in the final of the Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship in Saudi Arabia, defeating defending champion Ahsan Ramzan.
