The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) awarded a cash prize of Rs5 million to Haider Ali, who earned a bronze medal at the Paralympics, recognizing his remarkable achievement in sports. The prize was presented by Rana Sanaullah Khan, the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination, under the PSB’s newly approved policy to reward outstanding athletes.
Sanaullah praised Haider Ali’s dedication and perseverance, emphasizing that his success had made the entire nation proud. He reiterated that the government is committed to supporting athletes through initiatives like this cash award, highlighting Haiderโs accomplishments as a symbol of hard work and commitment.

The PSB also recognized Haiderโs exceptional contributions to sports, noting that the new policy would allow athletes excelling at national and international levels to receive similar rewards.
Haider Ali, the only Pakistani athlete to qualify for five Paralympic Games, has a notable record, having won medals in four of them. His achievements include one gold medal from Tokyo, one silver from Beijing, and two bronze medals from Rio and Paris. Over the years, Haider has accumulated 19 medals for Pakistan, including nine gold, four silver, and six bronze, across the Paralympics, Para Asian Games, and World Championships.
Haider himself highlighted the importance of relentless effort in sports, along with the need for proper resources and infrastructure to help athletes achieve their full potential.
