PCB Announces Squads for ODI Series Against Sri Lanka and T20 Tri-Series

The PCB has officially announced Pakistanโ€™s national squads for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka and the T20 tri-nation series featuring Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The announcement, made on Saturday, surprised many fans as young batter Hassan Nawaz was left out of both formats.

According to the PCB, Hassan Nawaz has been released to participate in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistanโ€™s premier first-class tournament, whose seventh round begins on November 11. The board confirmed that no replacement has been named for him in the ODI squad, while experienced batter Fakhar Zaman will take his place in the T20 lineup.

The ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place from November 11 to 15 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The T20 tri-series will follow, running from November 17 to 29 across Rawalpindi and Lahore.

The PCB has named Shaheen Shah Afridi as captain for the ODI series, with a strong lineup that includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman. For the T20 tri-series, Salman Ali Agha will lead the side, featuring key players like Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Nawaz.
