Salman Ali Agha Reprimanded By ICC After Sylhet Incident

Pakistan cricketer Salman Ali Agha has been officially reprimanded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) during the second Test match against Bangladesh in Sylhet.

According to the ICC, Salman Agha breached Level One of the ICC Code of Conduct. The violation was linked to the improper use of cricket equipment during the match.

The incident took place in the 82nd over of Pakistan’s second innings. After losing his wicket, the batter appeared frustrated while walking back to the pavilion.

Reports stated that Salman Agha struck an advertising board with his bat after his dismissal. The action was later reviewed by match officials.

Following the review, the ICC officially reprimanded the Pakistan batter for his conduct. The governing body also issued one demerit point against his disciplinary record.

This is not the first time Salman Agha has faced disciplinary action. Earlier this year, he was also reprimanded for a similar incident during an ODI match against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

With the latest penalty, Salman Agha’s total demerit points have now reached two within a 24-month period. ICC rules track player behavior through these points.

Match referee Jeff Crowe handled the disciplinary matter. According to officials, Salman Agha admitted the offence and accepted the punishment immediately.

As a result, there was no need for a formal hearing. The matter was resolved directly after the player accepted responsibility for the incident.

The ICC regularly monitors player conduct to maintain discipline during international matches. Level One offences usually involve minor breaches of the code.

Cricket analysts noted that emotional reactions can happen during intense games. However, players are still expected to follow professional standards on the field.

The decision to have Salman Agha reprimanded highlights the ICC’s continued focus on maintaining discipline in international cricket. The incident also serves as a reminder about player behavior during high-pressure moments.

Despite the controversy, Salman Agha remains an important part of Pakistan’s batting lineup. Fans now hope he avoids further disciplinary issues in future matches.
