Paraguay confirmed their return to the global stage with a 0-0 draw against Ecuador. The result placed them sixth in the South American standings, giving them a direct ticket to the 2026 edition. This will be Paraguayβs first World Cup since 2010.
With these results, six South American teams are now guaranteed to feature in the expanded 2026 World Cup. The qualification highlights Uruguayβs consistency, Colombiaβs resurgence, and Paraguayβs long-awaited comeback.
