Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, beloved for their on-screen chemistry in “Zindagi Gulzar Hai,” reunite for the captivating new web series “Barzakh.” Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Asim Abbasi, known for “Cake” and “Churails,” this Zee5 production was filmed against the stunning backdrops of Hunza and Karachi, Pakistan.
Set in the scenic locales of Karachi and the tourist hotspot of Hunza, “Barzakh” features an all-Pakistani cast. Alongside Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, the series includes performances by Faiza Gilani, Iman Suleiman, Khushal Khan, Aniqa Zulfikar Ali, Salman Shahid, and Franco Giust.

‘Barzakh’ revolves around a 76-year-old man’s second marriage, delving into themes of love, family dynamics, and societal norms. Filming wrapped up in March 2022, and the series gained prominence after its presentation at the French Film Festival in February 2023.
Scheduled for premiere on July 19, 2024, ‘Barzakh’ will stream on Zee5 and the Zindagi channel, offering an immersive and culturally resonant viewing experience.
