Apple’s iPad Air lineup has traditionally featured screen sizes smaller than 11 inches. However, reports suggest that Apple is in the process of developing a larger iPad Air model with a 12.9-inch diagonal display. According to industry sources, this 12.9-inch iPad Air will feature an LCD screen, differing from the mini-LED panel used in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Rumors indicate that Apple is actively working on two distinct iPad Air models with the identifiers J537 and J538. One of these is believed to be the 12.9-inch iPad Air, while the other is expected to be an 11-inch model. More details about these models are anticipated in the coming months.

It has also been reported that the upcoming iPad series will not feature Apple’s next-generation M3 SoC; instead, this chipset will be reserved for iPad Pro models next year. This year’s iPad models are likely to be equipped with the M2 SoC, which is expected to improve performance and battery life.
Apple is expected to announce three new iPad variants, including the new iPad Air, iPad mini 7, and the entry-level iPad. Since the previous generation of these iPads featured M1 chips, it’s highly likely that this year they will feature the M2 SoC. It’s also hoped that the iPad mini 7 will address the jelly scrolling issue that plagues the current generation of tablets, causing sluggish and laggy scrolling.
