Apple's iPhone 16 Pro to Boast Storage Capacity Surpassing Some Laptops

Recent insights from supply chain sources provide details on Apple’s plans for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series, highlighting several notable upgrades. Both the standard and Max versions are expected to feature larger screens, with the standard model sporting a 6.3-inch display and the Max variant stretching to 6.9 inches. The devices will incorporate Micro Lens Array (MLA) OLED panels for improved brightness and viewing angles.

The iPhone 16 Pro series will be powered by Apple’s A18 Pro chip, paired with 8 GB of RAM, marking a catch-up with Android counterparts in terms of RAM offerings. Users can opt for up to 2 TB of storage, doubling the previous generation’s limit. This surpasses some laptop default storage options.

Exclusive AI functionalities tailored for the 16 Pro models are expected, potentially integrating features from the recently introduced Apple MGIE AI model. Camera upgrades include a 48MP ultrawide lens for both devices, with the smaller Pro variant receiving a long-awaited 5x tetraprism lens.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is anticipated to set a new standard for battery longevity among Apple’s Pro models, featuring a substantial 4,676 mAh battery cell. The smaller variant, iPhone 16 Pro, will also see battery improvements with a larger 3,355 mAh capacity battery.

Both models will introduce the Capture button for quicker photo capture, and Apple has refined its titanium processing techniques, improving yield rates and reducing costs per casing. These advancements showcase Apple’s commitment to enhancing performance, features, and user experience in its upcoming iPhone models.
