Google Play Store Starts Selling Pixel and Samsung Phones
Google has started selling selected hardware products directly through the Play Store in some regions. The new feature allows users to explore smartphones and smartwatches without visiting the separate Google Store website.
A new “Shop devices” option has appeared in the Play Store account menu. It gives users access to supported devices from Google and Samsung, depending on their location.

The move expands the Play Store beyond its traditional role as a platform for downloading Android apps, games, and digital content. However, the hardware shopping feature is not yet available everywhere.
Google and Samsung Devices Listed
The new shopping section includes several devices from Google and Samsung. These include the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watches, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup, and selected Galaxy Watch8 models.
However, the products available depend on the user’s region. Some markets display devices from both manufacturers, while others currently show only Google products.
This limited rollout suggests that Google is making the feature available gradually. The company has not confirmed when the hardware shopping section will reach additional markets.
No Exclusive Discounts Available
Customers should not expect special discounts simply because they purchase devices through the Play Store. The listed products currently carry their regular retail prices.
There are no confirmed Play Store-exclusive promotions or price reductions associated with the new feature. Instead, it provides another purchasing option for customers interested in supported Google and Samsung hardware.
Users should compare prices and availability before buying a device. They should also check the applicable delivery options and regional purchasing conditions.
Samsung Is the Only Third-Party Brand So Far
Samsung is currently the only third-party smartphone manufacturer featured alongside Google’s own devices in this section.
The reason for Samsung’s inclusion remains unclear. It could be connected to the companies’ close relationship within the Android ecosystem, but Google has not confirmed this explanation.
It is also uncertain whether other Android smartphone manufacturers will join the platform. Google has not announced plans to expand the selection to additional brands.
What This Means for Android Users
The new feature could make device shopping more convenient for users who already rely on Google’s services. It brings supported hardware closer to the apps and digital products they access through the Play Store.
However, the limited regional rollout means not every customer can use the feature. Buyers should check their local availability before expecting to purchase a Pixel or Samsung device through this channel.
For now, the change offers an additional way to shop for selected smartphones and smartwatches. Whether Google expands the selection or introduces special offers remains to be seen.
