Google’s ChatGPT competitor debuts in search

Google was working frantically to catch up in the AI race shortly after Microsoft included ChatGPT into its Bing search engine. For its search engine, the corporation is now finally releasing its own AI tool, Search Generative Experience, or SGE.

Users, according to Google’s blog post, can experiment with ideas and submit feedback to the firm.

Its generative AI will “help you take some of the work out of searching, so you can understand a topic faster, uncover new viewpoints and insights, and get things done more easily.”

The feature was introduced at Google’s I/O event earlier this month, but it is now ready for testing by users.

The new search adds a new section to the top of search results that collects information from multiple sources in a single box, eliminating the need to click on multiple website links.

To try Google SGE, consumers in the United States must first join up for Google Labs. They will soon receive an email from the company with instructions on how to use the service.
