Honor has quietly introduced the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition, which is essentially an update to the existing Honor X40 GT. While this launch hasn’t garnered much attention, there are some notable changes.
The most significant change is in the design. The X40 GT Racing Edition features updated aesthetics on its back cover and introduces new color options. It is otherwise identical to the regular X40 GT.
The Racing Edition will be available in Racing Black and Titanium Silver color choices, featuring a fresh design on the rear panel.
The device retains its 6.81-inch 1080p LCD display with a high 144Hz refresh rate and an impressive 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also includes a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.

Under the hood, the X40 GT Racing Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for smooth performance. It houses a sizable 4,800mAh battery that supports rapid 66W fast charging to ensure extended use.
In terms of cameras, it features a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and a rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth-of-field lens.
The Honor X40 GT Racing Edition is available in two configurations: one with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. These variants are priced at $246 and $274, respectively.
