The government has approved major funding to boost Pakistan’s space ambitions, including Rs2.186 billion for the Pakistan Manned Space Mission under the 2025-26 budget.

Out of the total, Rs600 million is specifically earmarked to support the historic manned spaceflight. An additional Rs400 million has been allocated for the Pakistan Lunar Exploration Rover.
These projects are part of a larger Rs131.295 billion package for SUPARCO, aimed at strengthening the country’s space capabilities and advancing collaboration with China on missions like Chang’e-8 in 2028.
