Tecno has introduced the Pova AI Buds Pro with several artificial intelligence features. The new earbuds support transcription, translation, meeting summaries, and built-in recording.
The launch expands the company’s Pova product lineup beyond smartphones. It follows the recent unveiling of the Pova 8 Pro series.
The standard Pova 8 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on August 18. Details about a wider international release have not been announced yet.
AI Transcription and Translation Features
Artificial intelligence is a major focus of the new Pova AI Buds Pro.
According to Tecno, the earbuds can transcribe spoken conversations in real time. This feature could help users capture discussions without manually writing notes.
The earbuds can also create summaries from meetings. This allows users to review important points after a conversation or business session.
Another major feature is AI-powered translation. The earbuds support translation across up to 78 languages.
The Pova AI Buds Pro also include built-in storage for recording. Users can therefore capture audio directly using the earbuds.
A Quick Note button is located on the charging case. Pressing the button allows users to quickly begin recording.
The company claims continuous recording can last for up to four hours.
Hybrid ANC Reduces Noise by Up to 48dB
The Pova AI Buds Pro feature Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation technology.
Each earbud comes equipped with four microphones. The noise cancellation system can reduce surrounding sound by up to 48dB, according to the company.
The earbuds also offer pinch controls for managing different functions.
For audio quality, they support Hi-Res Audio and the LHDC codec. These technologies are designed to provide higher-quality wireless audio playback.
Dual-device connectivity is also available. It allows the earbuds to remain connected with two compatible devices simultaneously.
The earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. This provides additional protection during everyday use.
Battery Life Reaches Up to 40 Hours
Battery performance is another key feature of the new earbuds.
Tecno claims the Pova AI Buds Pro offer up to 40 hours of total battery life. This figure includes additional power provided by the charging case.
The charging case supports USB Type-C charging. Wireless charging is also available for users who prefer a cable-free option.
However, the wireless charging pad does not come with the earbuds. It must be purchased separately.
Tecno Pova AI Buds Pro Price and Availability
The Pova AI Buds Pro are priced at around $155 in India. The earbuds are currently offered in a single colour option. With AI transcription and translation, the earbuds target users seeking productivity features alongside entertainment.
