According to Max Jambor, the OnePlus Foldable Phone, initially known as the OnePlus Open, was scheduled to be unveiled on August 29. However, there has been a slight delay, and the launch date has been rescheduled. The exact new date has not been disclosed yet but is expected to be announced soon.
Interestingly, there have been some changes in the device’s specifications. Originally, the OnePlus Open was supposed to feature BOE panels, but due to some issues, the company has decided to switch to Samsung panels for a better alternative.

While the Oppo Find N2 was previously considered as the basis for the OnePlus Open, it now appears unlikely that it will follow the same design. The OnePlus Open is rumored to have different display sizes, with the cover and internal displays measuring 6.3″ and 7.8″ respectively, in contrast to the N2’s 5.54″ and 7.1″.
Additionally, there are reports suggesting that the OnePlus Open will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip instead of the 8+ Gen 1.
After the OnePlus Open’s launch, the company’s next significant release will be the OnePlus 12, expected to debut in December for the Chinese market and in January for the global launch.
