Thousands of people use Twitter to report issues.

According to the outage tracking website Downdetector, thousands of people around the world experienced problems while accessing Twitter on Saturday night.

According to the website, there were over 7,000 occurrences of users claiming problems with Twitter in the United States, and over 5,000 complaints from the United Kingdom.

Twitter users in other countries, including India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and Germany, have also experienced issues.

Dawn.com employees saw a “rate limit exceeded” warning on the app and the website, and no tweets appeared in their feed.

The precise reason of the issues was not immediately apparent. Twitter Inc has not yet spoken directly to the situation.

However, as user complaints appeared today, firm owner Elon Musk stated in a statement on Twitter that Twitter has implemented temporary reading limits to address “extreme levels” of data scraping and system manipulation.

Verified users are temporarily limited to viewing 6,000 posts per day, while unverified accounts and new unverified accounts are limited to 600 and 300 posts per day, respectively.

His post, on the other hand, made no mention of or refer to any user complaints from today.

Twitter has also announced that users would be required to have a Twitter account.

A Twitter outage was previously recorded in May, with more than 3,600 people reporting troubles with the social media platform, according to Downdetector.

In March, thousands of Twitter users experienced difficulties accessing links from the social media network and other websites. At the time, Downdetector had reported over 8,000 occurrences of people reporting problems.

Musk later tweeted that the problem had been caused by a minor update in Twitter’s data-access tool. “For no apparent reason, the code stack is exceedingly brittle. “Will eventually require a complete rewrite,” he had stated.
