WhatsApp Introduces Feature to End Annoying Updates

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to manage updates from within the app settings. Currently available to some beta testers through the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.2.13 update on Google Play Store, this feature provides users with options to control how updates are handled. Users can choose to let WhatsApp update automatically over WiFi when a new version is available or receive alerts when a new version is ready for download.

It’s worth noting that this option is currently available on devices that have the Meta App Manager preinstalled. Therefore, users of various operating systems or devices without the Meta App Manager application preinstalled may not have access to this update management feature through the app settings. Additionally, manually installing the Meta App Manager on devices without it preinstalled may not enable this specific update management feature.

While users can already choose for apps to update automatically through the Google Play Store, this new feature in WhatsApp provides additional control options for managing updates within the app itself.
