WhatsApp Introduces New Features to Manage Animations

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that gives users greater control over chat message animations, including emojis, stickers, and GIFs. According to WABetaInfo, this update will allow users to turn off autoplay, keeping animated emojis still and preventing stickers and GIFs from moving unless they are interacted with. This change is aimed at reducing distractions for those who find excessive animations bothersome. The feature is still in development and is expected to be available in future updates.

In addition to managing animations, WhatsApp is working on a feature that enables users to access human chat support directly via the web client. This will allow users to receive real-time assistance from human representatives, rather than relying on automated systems. Upon initiating contact with support, users will be prompted to provide details about their issue, with follow-up messages handled in the same conversation.

WhatsApp is also introducing a new business feature that allows companies to use AI-powered replies for automatic responses to customer messages. By scanning a QR code, businesses can activate these AI-driven responses, ensuring customers receive timely replies even when employees are unavailable.
