According to FIFA, the world’s governing body of football, ticket sales for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand surpassed those of the competition’s previous iteration on Thursday.
The event will overtake France’s 2019 World Cup as the most attended solo women’s athletic event in history thanks to the 1,032,884 tickets that were sold, according to FIFA.
Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, stated on Instagram that “the future is female.” He also expressed his gratitude to the supporters of what will be the best FIFA Women’s World Cup ever.The excitement is growing in the host nations and throughout the world, and I am looking forward to meeting you there to watch the female football stars flourish on the international stage.
