The crash was reportedly caused by speeding. Local residents mentioned that the victims, who were from Kabirwala, were traveling in the coaster to attend a job interview. The impact of the collision destroyed the coaster.

Rescue teams and police rushed the injured to the hospital, but the lack of proper facilities and a power outage hampered medical care. Many citizens from Chowk Sarwar Shaheed gathered at the hospital, and the severely injured were later transferred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan by ambulance.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Manan, Muhammad Akram, Jamshed, and Muhammad Abid, all from Kabirwala. The Sarwar Shaheed Saddar police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
