In a dramatic escalation along the Line of Control (LoC), Indian forces reportedly raised a white flag at the Chora Complex — a gesture widely recognized as an indication of surrender or ceasefire — following major setbacks inflicted by Pakistan’s military.
The surrender signal came after the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down five Indian fighter jets in a powerful counter-offensive, surpassing India’s own admission of losing only three. The PAF’s strike was in retaliation to what Pakistan described as an unprovoked and cowardly Indian assault targeting both civilian and military zones across the border.

Decisive Blow at the LoC
Security sources revealed that Pakistani troops delivered a crushing blow to multiple Indian military installations, particularly at the Chora Complex, which suffered intense bombardment. It was after these strikes that Indian troops were seen hoisting a white flag, effectively acknowledging their heavy losses.
Indian Aircraft Shot Down
While Indian officials confirmed the loss of three jets, Pakistani military sources reported the destruction of five Indian aircraft, including high-value assets such as Rafale jets, a MiG-29, and an SU-30. A Heron surveillance drone was also brought down during the operation.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the total toll might be even higher, claiming six Indian jets were eliminated and that the headquarters of India’s 12th Infantry Brigade — a core tactical unit of the Indian Army near the LoC — was obliterated during the campaign.
“A Befitting Response to Aggression”
“Our military is responding strongly to every Indian provocation,” a senior security official said. ISPR DG Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry echoed this stance, confirming that several Indian positions had been neutralized and warning that Pakistan’s defense forces were fully prepared to retaliate further if needed.
Khawaja Asif reiterated Pakistan’s right to self-defense, stating, “India’s aggression will be repaid in full. We are not the aggressors, but we will not remain silent either.”
Drone Downed, Brigade HQ Destroyed
In addition to the aerial combat victories, Pakistani forces shot down an Indian surveillance drone in the Barnala sector, which had violated Pakistani airspace. The destruction of the drone serves as a stern warning to India against future provocations.
The destruction of the 12th Infantry Brigade HQ represents a significant strategic loss for India, as this unit is directly responsible for operations near the LoC.
Civilian Casualties in Missile Attacks
Tragically, a missile strike in Bahawalpur — reportedly launched by India — hit a religious seminary, killing a child and injuring a man and a woman. A total of 29 injured civilians, including six women and four children, were transferred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
Late Tuesday night, Pakistan’s security officials confirmed that India launched multiple missile attacks, striking three areas within Pakistan’s borders. In response, Pakistan fired missiles at several Indian positions.
“India’s Joy Will Be Short-Lived”
Following the Indian missile assault, the ISPR DG issued a harsh warning, stating, “India’s temporary happiness will soon turn into lasting regret.”
