At least six people lost their lives and more than 20 others were injured in Beersheba after a series of missiles launched from Iran struck southern Israel in the hours leading up to a ceasefire agreement brokered by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to emergency medical service Magen David Adom (MDA), two of the injured were taken to Soroka Hospital in moderate condition, while six others suffered minor wounds. Most casualties were due to shrapnel injuries, trauma to limbs, and anxiety-related reactions triggered by the attacks.

Throughout the night and into early Tuesday, Israel issued six separate air raid warnings as waves of Iranian missiles targeted various regions. Residents across the country were repeatedly urged to seek shelter as the Iron Dome air defense system worked to intercept the incoming projectiles.
The strikes occurred just hours before the Trump-announced ceasefire between Israel and Iran was set to come into effect. Despite the impending truce, the atmosphere remained tense, with repeated sirens forcing citizens back into bomb shelters even after initial all-clear signals.
With rising international pressure on both nations to honor the ceasefire agreement and avoid further escalation, the current situation remains highly volatile and uncertain.
