A family court in Lodhran, Punjab, has sentenced Mohsin to six months in prison for remarrying without the consent of his first wife, Shakeela Bibi, who had filed a petition against him.
The court also imposed a Rs50,000 fine, with an additional two months in prison if the fine is not paid.

Shakeela, from Kahror Pakka Tehsil, had taken legal action against her husband for marrying again without her permission.
After hearing the case, Judge Tahira Shehzad convicted Mohsin and ordered his imprisonment.
According to the law, anyone entering a second marriage without the approval of their first wife or an arbitration council may face up to one year in prison and a fine of up to PKR 500,000.
The wife also has the right to approach the union council to demand maintenance for herself and her children.
