Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday delivered a strong message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, warning that if India dared to initiate another attack, Pakistan’s response would be so fierce that “nothing will remain.”
During his visit to the military cantonment in Pasrur near Sialkot, PM Shehbaz was briefed on the preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces. He was accompanied by key cabinet members including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Information Minister Atta Tarar. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu were also present.

– India’s Aggression Condemned –
In his speech, PM Shehbaz criticized India for what he described as baseless and arrogant aggression. “India acted on lies and inflated ego, choosing hostility over our call for an impartial investigation,” he stated. He condemned the attack on civilians, calling the targeting of women, children, and the elderly a disgrace and a clear breach of international law and human values.
– Swift Military Response Praised –
He commended the armed forces for their quick and effective response. “Our heroes defended the nation with courage. Their sacrifices brought pride and honour to Pakistan,” he said, adding that history would remember their bravery in the face of unprovoked aggression.
PM Shehbaz congratulated the top leadership of all military branches — the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Army Chief, the Air Chief, and the Naval Chief — for their remarkable leadership during the crisis.

Praising General Asim Munir, PM Shehbaz said, “He led the operation with intelligence and foresight. I met him during the operation and was proud of his determination. Our armed forces are the pride of this nation — they lifted our spirits, confused the enemy, and reassured our allies.”
– India Warned Over Water Disputes and Terror Links –
The prime minister also issued a stern warning against any attempt by India to interfere with Pakistan’s water resources. “Tampering with our water supply is a red line,” he cautioned. He referenced historical events and alleged India’s involvement in recent terrorist activities, including the Jaffar Express attack and links to organizations like the BLA and TTP. He also questioned how Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav ended up in Balochistan.
“Modi should not be misled by his own narrative. Pakistan wants peace, stability, and development in the region — but don’t interpret our peaceful intentions as a sign of weakness. India’s dreams of dominating the region have been crushed,” he asserted.
– Prepared for Peace or War –
PM Shehbaz likened India’s alleged attacks to “sneaking in like a thief at night,” and issued a clear ultimatum: “Repeat such actions and face the consequences. We want peace, but if forced into war, we are fully prepared.”
He claimed that India attempted to sabotage Pakistan’s Neelum–Jhelum Dam and warned, “Had that succeeded, we would have responded by destroying Indian dams in return. We are ready — whether it’s for dialogue or for war. The decision now rests with India.”
